an FZ ready to evolve

last sunday me and my old friend ugly head went to the motorcycle show held at the world trade center in taipei. there were numerous beautiful and cool and special bikes and scooters, and a taiwan-made motorcycle drew my attention so much that i couldn't take my eyes off it. i told ugly head,"oh man! this is just awesome! if i have it now the first thing i'll definitely do is hop on it and go on yang ming mountain right away!" different from me, ugly head was highly interested in some scooters made by Aeon the taiwanese company which is highly skilled of Beach ATV (All Terrain Vehicle). after the show we even tried riding its 250cc model and it was great! ugly head said he started considering to have one now. this was really a great show, and we were both happy we were there.

it's been two weeks since the show and the 350cc motorcycle kept swirling in my mind. all i had been thinking were "the fuel tank is fat, which i like; the tail is ok, but at least it's high up, nice; rear tyre was super fat, probably 4- or 5- inch, my favourite! the rear suspension was arranged at the right side instead in the middle, special; twin front disks, cool! it takes nearly NT200,000 and if i want to buy it i have to set a limit on my daily expenses and keep at it until the end of this year"...etc etc etc. after a while what on my mind became a 2nd hand Venox, which can be cheaper than that 350cc model. and the recent two days Venox started making me hesitate. "are they good enough to put myself in a situation in which i might live a hard life? do i wish so?"

then i think back to my current bike. oil leakage of engine case and front forks, rear wheel worn out and waving, drum brake (i highly prefer disk brake), rear tyre is thin...i started considering the possibility and price of modifying it and found it's much cheaper! a skilful technician who has been working near my home promised me he can help me with rear wheel with disk, 3.5 inch rear wheel (current one is 2.5 inch), bigger front disk, and also he will try to fix the oil leakage of engine side case! and it's much muCH MUCH CHEAPER! so i decided to go home with my bike in the shop R~E~A~D~Y F~O~R E~V~O~L~U~T~I~O~N! can't wait!

In God I Trust

the week has been good. as i'm relocated back to taipei, i was able to join the Bible study and it did feel wonderful! also, during the past month i'd been involved in product manual translation and a little film making, and the film is almost done and waiting for being put to internet in the coming week. God is so great, He's always got good things in store for me!

i've been watching the Star Trek series of season four. again as usual, i'm inspired by how wise Captain Picard is. he's full of knowledge of classic literature such as Hamlet and Shakespear. actually in real life he is a such kind of person. his knowledge, his in-depth perspective about many things, his communication skills and his determination about exploration and discovering the unknown have encouraged me somehow. this is the reason why i've been considering getting a degree of English literature. i wish to become as wise and understanding as him.

tomorrow is the 30th anniversary of Pastor Walter and Baiping, and today they held a tender, warm wedding ceremony, which is rich with testimony. adrian and andre their kids were there, and their words i believed touched many people. they are a what i have known the best model family. i want to have one as well (oh well i will!)

when anet, as an assistant preacher today, was reading about "Love never gives up; Love sets aside personal plan for the good of the other", i was thinking to myself "have i managed to do it? if pastor and i reverse, can i make it to the same point in life? i always look the negative, why have i never learned to shake it off for the good?" yes i do wish to have a life-long marriage, and interestingly, in one of the Star Trek series councellor Deanna Troi happened to mention this, "in a marriage you are willing to share your personality with the other person." i do want to have this, and i believe i must do it well from this time forward.

Sentence of The Day:

oh well, actually there are many good sentences for my day today. instead of just picking one or two, i picked all of them:

1. always do what i must in love, be kind and respectful, but stand firm and make a decision that you will live in freedom."

2. after God, you are your priority.

3. embrace the place where i am.

all the above are quoted from Become A Better You by Joel Osteen the preacher at Lakewood Church

Goal Oriented

not until today i realized that i’m goal oriented. in the page of 211 joel said he is a goal oriented person, while there is always other area that he needs to work on, such as IMPATIENCE. Same with me, i don’t like to wait, i like to get somewhere, get things done, and then move on. same with him, i’m disciplined when it comes to getting things done, yet Impatience is the very area i need to work it out, instead of just sitting back and not doing anything.

last sunday me and ugly head went to the motorcycle show in taipei world trade center. fantastic! saw some super cool bikes, and saw one bike i really really really wish to buy! the first one is modified from a scooter, which is the coolest of all in the show. in the other picture is the bike i really want. 350cc, single cylinder, with fat rear tyre and fat oil tank. it's gonna be on sale the end of the year. i'm really looking forward to it!

these are what i should do

quoted from Become A Better You by Joel Osteen

1. i will help somebody else become successful and trust God to make me successful. this week i will build up, encourage, or otherwise improve the lives of at least three people.

2. i will (on purpose) find somebody that i can be good to today. i will attempt to make somebody's day. i will look for ways to be a blessing, especially to someone who cannot repay me.

3. i will be determined to keep strife out of my home. i will remind myself regularly:
"i am a peacemaker, not a troublemaker."
"i will overlook minor matters and i will forgive quickly."
"i choose to see the best in other people."
"i appreciate my spouse, my family members, my friends, and my coworkers."

4. today i will make relational deposits in the lives of people around me. i will give compliments freely and seek to make every person i meet feel important.

yep, this is what i should keep doing!

30ieth

it seems so easy for me to be filled with tears as my age is growing, another words, i'm getting more sensitive.

here is the story of Nick Vujicic, a guy has no legs and no arms, yet he is an optimitic and strong man. his story has inspired countless people around the world

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U_xR7O4h0c
here is the movie "front of the class", telling about the story of a teacher with Torrette Symdrom selected as Teacher of the Year in Georgia, the United States.

these stories have made me sob or even cry everytime when i watched them. the persons in the story have been living an optimistic life, never let things beat them down, although sometimes they wanted to give up. and they make it! they are still living the way as usual, and their stories have encouraged a lot of people including me of course. i feel really embarrassed about having been complaining about things around me, having never felt content with what i still have. just like Nick Vujicic said "if you keep on concentrating on things you wish you had or you don't have, and you sort of forget what you do have." and i do realise that perhaps it's not that why i'm not able to go for my dream. of course i can go for my dream, but before that, i must learn to be Thankful, the most important thing in life, yet most of the time i forget.

the best numbers are surely 3 and 5!

it's been over 2 weeks since my last blogging and tonight i decided to do it because tomorrow (well actually it's today already) is my birthday! haha!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EUGENE!

i'm so happy now not only because i had heard some nice music played by the ICRT where the host Joseph Lin made a call-in to help deliver a happy birthday to an 11-year-old girl and strangely this had made my birthday eve! but also of course it's off work time now, what i did was simply hop on my motorcycle Naomi and rode relaxingly to anywhere i wanted. well, not really "anywhere", i'm now at a coffee shop called Sepia, order a latte, and ready to make some reading. hmmm, it's pretty a cool and relaxing night after a long hard day, i just love it :-)

"you're turning 30, eugene." 30 this number can mean differently to each one, but i can truly feel that this year is gonna be a year of hope and change. this does delight me :-)

who moved my cheese

tiny part of me is like Sniff, always sniff something new and go for it;
good part of me is like Scurry, always scurry here and there for something i'm eager for;
large part of me is Haw, still learning and sometimes afraid though, i love to soak up good sentences, no matter they're from the movies or books or pop up in my heart, i write them down to encourage myself for something better; but...
there is still Hem in me, afraid to change, just doesn't want any other cheese but the one with a hole in it.

if i keep being like this, then i will never find any other new cheese.

perseverance

no idea what is laying ahead
but i know that is Thy grace
as long as i take heart and keep at it
with determination and hope in Thee
